Dear participants of the SPE BALKAN SKI Conference Rogla 2024,

I hope that you have all arrived safely at the destination to which the road from Rogla has led you. The memories are still vivid and strong. On behalf of the SPE Balkan SKI Executive Committee, I would like to thank you once again.

On the website, under the Gallery tab, you will find pictures that speak louder than words. Many more pictures are uploaded on SharePoint. You can find the link on the WhatsApp SPE BALKAN SKI 2024 Rogla, where you can download the pictures or upload the most beautiful ones you have taken yourself and want to share with the SPE BS family 😊.
This way we will share impressions and this event will become an unforgettable part of skiing history.

Dear participants of the 5th SPE BALKAN SKI Conference Rogla 2024, dear colleagues,

There is only one week left until the conference starts. Everything is ready at the conference venue and we are looking forward to meeting you all there.
You are probably already eagerly awaiting more information about the conference, and there is plenty of news on the conference website - http://spe-balkan-ski.com/general-information Please check out the conference program - http://spe-balkan-ski.com/conference-program - and get ready for an amazing new experience.

On Snow:
- 6 workshops will be held each morning by members of the demo teams from participating countries,
- Demo show exhibition on Tuesday evening,
- A different SKI TEST every day (Elan, Fisher, Nordica).

Indor:
- 3 plenary and 5 keynote lectures by world-renowned scientists from around the world,
- 25 scientific and professional lectures given by snowsport researchers and experts,
- social evenings and networking meetings,
- welcome and closing party with live music,
- and much more ...

For those who will be giving an oral presentation, here are some notes on the presentations:
- the lecture room/hall will be equipped with a video projector for PPT presentations
- Presenters must upload their presentation in the afternoon or at least 10 minutes before the start of each section. Technical staff will be available in the lecture room.

Time allotted for presentations:
Plenary presentations: Will be given in English
Presentation time 45 minutes (40 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A)
Keynote presentations: Will be held in English,
Presentation time 30 minutes (25 minutes + 5 minutes Q&A)
Scientific and professional/Technical presentations: Will be held in English
Presentation time 10 minutes (Q&A at the end of the session)
NOTE: Each presenter should not exceed the time allotted for their presentation.
The organizer reserves the right to change or modify the program in case of exceptional circumstances. You will be informed of any changes on site. We will set up a common mailing list - SPE BALKAN SKI 2024 PERTICIPANTS - for all conference participants to keep you informed about important information.

Due to the great interest in the conference and the preparation of abstracts, we have decided to extend the deadline for the submission of abstracts for the SPE Balkan SKI Conference 2024. New key dates :

Notification of abstract acceptance:

Conference fee and accommodation PAYMENT deadline:
1. March 2024 (after this date room availability cannot be guaranteed)

Registration deadline:
1. March 2024

Dear skiing and snow sports enthusiasts,

the shortest day of the year and thus the start of the calendar winter is behind us. Today, our eyes are turned even more to the sky in anticipation of snow deliveries, which we are all particularly looking forward to.
Preparations for SPE Balkan SKI conference, Rogla, Slovenia 2024 are in full swing and on the website http://spe-balkan-ski.com/keynote-speakers you can familiarize yourself with the invited speakers who will be sharing their experiences with us again this year. Top-class speakers from different parts of the world will enrich the program of workshops and on-snow demonstrations in the afternoon. Several Demo teams from the EU and beyond have already announced their participation.

After the wonderful experience we all had at the first and second SPE BALKAN SKI CONFERENCES, where several hundred ski instructors, trainers, professors and other experts in the fields of alpine skiing and snowboarding witnessed an unforgettable story of interaction between science, profession, practice and social events, we decided to invite you to come take a step further with us to reach and, perhaps, even surpass the SPE Balkan SKI goals.
